What is so special about these specialists? After completing medical school and obtaining a Medical Doctor degree, Physiatrists study four more years in postdoctoral residency training. Dr. Franklin works in tandem with a team of other health professionals in developing and carrying out a comprehensive rehabilitation plan. This rehabilitation team may include the physicians of Rezin Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, specifically Dr. Kevin Draxinger, a fellowship-trained spine surgeon. Illinois SpineCare and Diagnostics also relies on the physical therapists at Vital Care Physical Therapy Centers to provide a full spectrum of therapy and a clinical team of nurses and technologists.
