
Dr. David M. Burt graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in 1997 and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery from the University of Texas, San Antonio. Additionally, he completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. Prior to arriving at Rezin Orthopedics, he served one year as a clinical faculty member in the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Dr. Burt has been a part of Rezin Orthopedics and Sports Medicine since 2004. The focus of his practice is sports medicine with an emphasis on arthroscopic repair and reconstruction of the shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankle. He also has a special interest in total joint replacement of the shoulder. In addition, Dr. Burt is also the team physician for Sandwich High School athletics.
In his free time, Dr. Burt likes to spend time with his wife and daughter. He enjoys playing guitar, biking, swimming, running, skiing and traveling.
Dr. Burt holds clinic at the Naperville, Yorkville, Ottawa, and Sandwich locations.
